Hi reader
Firstly, I want to thank you for subscribing to this newsletter - it's great to have you as part of the gang. I appreciate having the opportunity to share ideas, articles, books, quotes and tips that resonate with me, and I love getting your feedback!

I've recently been reflecting on how the increasing number of people who are talking about information- and/or inbox-overload. And I read a great piece of writing by Mark Manson where he shared why he is moving away from weekly and over to a monthly newsletter rhythm.

This got me thinking. Your time and attention are precious, and I want to make sure that, when you take the time to pay attention to my newsletter, you get a great "return on investment". That means being even more rigorous in my curation and writing, which means even more thought and research at my end (thankfully, that's stuff I love doing, so I'm excited by the challenge!).

To make this sustainable, I'll be moving this newsletter to a monthly rhythm, effective immediately. That means I'll be landing in your inbox around the third week of each month. I'll be experimenting with content and layout, so let me know if you love or hate something - it's always great to hear your thoughts!

And in a change from my usual newsletter content, rather than share one of my own articles, I think this HBR article, 'Manage your energy not your time' is a perfect match with what I've written about above.

I'd love to hear how you create space to restore your energy. What tells you that it's time to take a break? What are your favourite ways to restore your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual energy? Reply to this email, or connect with me on social media to start a conversation. Rest and self-care are so important. When you take time to replenish your spirit, it allows you to serve others from the overflow. You cannot serve from an empty vessel
