The New Leader Accelerator

For newly promoted leaders and the organisations backing them

It's time to make the shift from doing the work to leading the team

Stepping into your first leadership role, you’re busier than you’ve ever been. You’re still delivering, still proving yourself, and now you’re expected to lead people well too. The skills required to do the work are completely different to the skills required to lead a team.

That’s why you need training and development that fits into your schedule, instead of piling more work on top.

Rather than pulling you away for full-day training sessions, the New Leader Accelerator blends self-paced learning, live webinars, and office hours to work with your schedule, not against it.

It gives you practical skills and tools you can use right away, while providing on-the-go coaching, guidance, and support as you build your leadership competence and confidence.

Organisations that trust me to lift their leaders' game

Most new leaders aren't taught how to lead

Strong performers get promoted because they are capable, reliable, and trusted.

But leading people requires a different set of skills, and many new leaders are left to work that out under pressure, in real time, while trying not to drop the ball.

New leaders find themselves:
  • Doing too much themselves instead of leading through others.

  • Avoiding difficult conversations because they do not want to get it wrong.

  • Second-guessing their decisions and worrying they should already know what to do.

  • Feeling pressure to have all the answers, even when the situation is new and unclear.

  • Becoming overwhelmed trying to prove themselves while supporting everyone else.

Organisations see:
  • New managers slipping back into doing rather than delegating.

  • Senior leaders carrying extra load because they do not have time to coach properly.

  • Inconsistent people leadership across teams.

  • A slower, shakier leadership pipeline than they want.

The New Leader Accelerator is designed to support the transition to leadership early, before unhelpful patterns become hard-to-break habits.

Who this programme is for

This programme is designed for newly promoted leaders in their first three years of people leadership, especially those working in professional services, corporate, or other knowledge-based environments.

It will suit organisations that want to support new leaders well, without relying on already-stretched managers to do all the development work themselves.

This might be a good fit for you if you are:

  • A new leader who wants practical support, not abstract theory.

  • A technical specialist or high performer moving into people leadership for the first time.

  • An organisation promoting emerging leaders and wanting them to succeed faster.

  • An HR, L&D, GM, partner, or team leader looking for a strong leadership on-ramp.

The framework

The New Leader Accelerator supports leaders to make three significant mindset shifts to develop their leadership effectiveness.

From doing it all yourself to leading through others From paralysed self-doubt to learning through practice From needing certainty to leading with curiosity
New leaders are often promoted because they are good at the work, so their instinct is to keep doing more of it.
Many new leaders think they are failing when leadership feels uncomfortable, but discomfort is often part of learning a new craft.
New leaders often feel pressure to appear certain, even when they are facing situations they have never handled before.
This shift helps them step out of over-functioning, delegate more effectively, and start leading through others instead of carrying everything themselves.
This shift helps them understand the learning curve of leadership, build confidence through practice, and keep going without being derailed by uncertainty.
This shift helps them let go of the certainty myth and lead with curiosity, sound judgment, and greater presence.

This is not about becoming a perfect leader overnight.

It is about building the habits, awareness, and capability that help new leaders make a stronger start.

The outcomes

For new leaders

Leadership gets easier when you stop trying to perform leadership perfectly and start practising it more deliberately.

The New Leader Accelerator equips you with the tools and skills you need right now, so you can lead well from Day One, instead of making all the typical new-leader mistakes yourself.

By the end of the programme, you will be able to:

  • Delegate with confidence and get great results.
  • Stop over-functioning and firefighting so you can make a real difference to your team.
  • Build trust and accountability across your team.
  • Handle difficult conversations earlier and more effectively.
  • Lead without feeling you must have all the answers.
  • Navigate real workplace situations with greater calm and clarity.

For organisations

When new leaders are supported early, they are more likely to build healthy leadership habits that strengthen team performance over time.

This programme gives organisations a practical, structured way to support emerging leaders without waiting for problems to show up first.

Organisations can expect:

  • A faster transition into effective people leadership.
  • Reduced bottlenecks and over-dependence on high-performing individuals.
  • Better delegation, accountability, and team communication.
  • More confident conversations and day-to-day leadership decisions.
  • Stronger team performance and engagement over time.
  • Less pressure on senior leaders to fill the development gap alone.

The earlier that new leaders learn helpful leadership mindsets, the easier they are to sustain.

What the programme includes

The New Leader Accelerator is a 12-week cohort-based leadership transition programme designed for real working life.

It combines structured learning with live support, so participants can apply what they are learning as they lead.

Programme elements

  • Self-paced learning that fits around work commitments.
  • Live webinars focused on practical leadership challenges.
  • Office hours for coaching, guidance, and support.
  • Reflection and application between sessions.
  • Peer learning with other new leaders navigating similar challenges.
  • A focus on real leadership situations, not just theory.

Programme structure

The 12-week programme has three phases: four-week cycles of learning, practice, and reflection.

Phase 1: The Shift Phase 2: The Practice Phase 3: The Presence
Move from doing the work to leading through others.
Learn leadership in real time, with support as new challenges emerge.
Lead with more confidence, curiosity, and steadiness in uncertain situations.
Each learning cycle follows the same four-week format:
  • Week One – Prework & Office Hours: learning resources (videos, articles, worksheets) are provided on Day One of the learning cycle. A one-hour drop-in session to discuss any concerns or issues, and answer your questions.
  • Week Two – Webinar: a two-hour live, interactive webinar where we review the learning resources and discuss how you’ll apply it to your daily work. You’ll develop an action plan and commit to implementing it.
  • Week Three – Office Hours: a one-hour drop-in session to review progress on your action plan, discuss any concerns or issues, and answer your questions. This is a great opportunity to trouble-shoot any tricky situations you’ve come across and celebrate what you’ve learned so far.
  • Week Four – Reflect and Adjust: you’ll review your action plan, what went well and not so well, and what you’ll do differently moving forward. You’ll submit a learning reflection and receive feedback from Daria.

The next learning cycle starts the week after Week Four of the previous cycle. After three cycles, you’ve completed the New Leader Accelerator, and you’ll be feeling more confident and leading more effectively.

Trusted by leaders and organisations who value practical development

I’ve worked with leaders and teams across a range of organisations to build stronger leadership, deeper trust, and more effective ways of working together.

Daria sets really high standards. She takes time to get to know you and genuinely wants to achieve the best there is for you. Couldn’t recommend a better practitioner.

I’ve been really grateful to work with Daria Williamson over my career, and I can confidently say that she’s been a game changer for how I lead my team and organisation.

Daria’s helped me develop key skills in communication and helped me find my style of leadership along with what my strengths are. She’s taught me how to improve skills with handling conflict and challenging situations, but what I appreciate the most is she meets you where you’re at, and tailors her approach to what you need in that moment to help you meet your daily, weekly and overall goals and objectives for your organisation.

If you’re looking for someone who truly cares about your growth and will guide you to achieve your true potential, then Daria’s the one.

Before working with Daria Williamson, I was struggling with how to handle some difficult situations at work. I knew what I wanted to say, but not always how to say it in an impactful way. Daria’s Leadership Development programme helped me to pause and think about my approach.

I referenced the programme material and a conversation I expected to be tense turned into an open acknowledgement of impact, an apology, and a commitment to do things better. That was a pretty big moment for me.

The tools and reference materials are an asset that I still refer to, especially when I’m outside my comfort zone. I’d recommend Daria Williamson to anyone who wants to handle tough conversations with more confidence and less stress.

I enjoyed the topics relating to how to become better leaders.

I liked the approach taken in teaching and Daria’s relatable approach in presenting. I found Daria excellent and have only commendations for her.

Daria was fantastic, the subjects we covered were deeply explained.

Daria even went out of her way to help us with things we were experiencing on the floor, which had given me a new perspective on how to view/tackle things.

About Daria Williamson

I work in leadership development across all levels, from new leaders to senior leadership teams and organisational culture.

My work is grounded in a simple belief: leadership development should help people grow in capability without stripping out their humanity.

I’ve got over twenty years of leadership experience and learning under my belt, from leading frontline team members to leading teams of senior leaders, so I’ve got the scars from the very same battles that you face. That means I bring both empathy and proven tools and mindsets to our work together.

I help high-performing professionals make the transition from being successful because of what they do to being successful because of what they lead their team to do.

That means supporting leaders to build trust, grow accountability, and lead with more awareness, steadiness, and impact.

I designed the New Leader Accelerator to give emerging leaders the kind of practical, thoughtful support many people never receive when they first step into leadership.

Your questions, answered

How will this programme work with a busy schedule?

The New Leader Accelerator is designed to fit alongside real jobs and existing responsibilities, rather than requiring people to step away for full-day training.

It combines self-paced learning, live webinars, and office hours so participants can keep learning while continuing to lead.

What makes the New Leader Accelerator different to generic leadership training?

This programme is designed as a leadership transition experience, not broad-brush leadership training.

It focuses specifically on the early patterns, pressures, and capability gaps that show up when someone first starts leading people. Participants get access to tools they can apply immediately, and skills they can work on right away.

Who is the right fit for this programme?

The programme is designed primarily for newly promoted leaders and people in their first three years of leading others.

It will also suit someone a little further on who feels they never had a strong foundation when they first stepped into leadership.

How does this programme help new leaders develop more confidence?

The programme focuses specifically on the shift from individual contributor to people leader, which is where many new leaders struggle most.

Each of the New Leader Accelerator modules will help participants recognise the patterns that commonly derail them, build their capacity to navigate challenging situations, and grow confidence through real-time application of practical skills.

The programme is designed to deliver regular feedback and guidance, and additional, tailored support is available when required.

What support do participants receive between sessions?

This is not a set-and-forget online course.

Participants have access to live webinars, office hours, and guided reflection and application so they can work through real leadership challenges as they arise.

How does the online format make this easier to access and apply?

The programme is a blend of self-paced and online learning. This makes it easy for participants to join from different locations and integrate the learning into their normal working week.

That format also allows organisations to support leaders without the disruption of pulling them out for in-person training days.

Can organisations use this programme to support multiple new leaders?

I welcome multiple leaders from the same organisation in the programme.

That makes it a practical way to support a group of emerging leaders with a consistent foundation, without relying on already-stretched managers to provide all the development themselves.

And if you have a group of six or more leaders, you may prefer an exclusive in-house cohort.

How does this programme give new leaders a strong start without treating leadership as a one-off fix?

The New Leader Accelerator is designed to provide strong foundational support at a critical point in a leader’s development.

It helps people make a healthier, more effective start, while recognising that leadership growth continues well beyond one programme.

I offer tailored 1:1 coaching programmes that can sit alongside or follow-on from the New Leader Accelerator to really embed the learning. We can discuss this on your discovery call.
